I find myself playing the AI paranoia game on LinkedIn, spotting copy-and-paste content flooding our feeds. AI proves helpful at times, and it definitely has its purpose, but we believe there&#8217;s a perfect balance between efficiency (AI) and originality (you). The brands that break through won&#8217;t be the loudest, they&#8217;ll be the ones that feel real.<br><br>This goes against everything my English teacher taught me, but nowadays I find myself wanting to see a little spelling mistake here and there to prove there&#8217;s a human behind it. It\u2019s not something I recommend, but it represents a strong desire to see something human. The resurrection of <a href=\"https:\/\/johnkovacevich.medium.com\/93-creative-campaigns-that-caught-our-eye-in-the-first-half-of-2025-ff9e64897cb7#510c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">typo marketing<\/a> and accidentally-on-purpose campaigns shows that brands are responding to people&#8217;s craving for authenticity in what feels like an inauthentic time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"padtop10 padbot10\">How to balance your human-ness with AI content<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"pink\">Be persistent with prompts &#038; have the final say<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead of asking for &#8216;a Black Friday retail text,&#8217; try &#8216;a conversational Black Friday text for loyal customers who&#8217;ve bought winter boots before, focusing on styling tips rather than discounts.&#8217; Be specific, rinse and repeat. You can even get tools that give small businesses advice on LLM (Large Language Model) prompts to give you some inspiration. This is more AI, but it does offer a little more guidance to make results more specific to you and your brand.<br><br>Every AI-generated piece needs your human perspective. Does this sound like your brand? Would you send this to your best customer? Well, today&#8217;s your lucky day.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"pink\">Join the &#8216;accidentally on purpose&#8217; trend<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Some brands have even started to embrace more &#8216;mistake&#8217; style emails, where they &#8216;accidentally&#8217; talk about a deal &#8216;too early&#8217;. It&#8217;s kind of having a &#8216;boomerang&#8217; effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"padtop10\">What does generic AI content look like?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are some key signs, including:<br>Overly enthusiastic language that doesn&#8217;t match the brand<br>Generic superlatives (&#8220;amazing,&#8221; &#8220;incredible,&#8221; &#8220;don&#8217;t miss out&#8221;)<br>Too many emojis \ud83e\udd28<br>Perfect grammar but lifeless messaging<br>Content that could work for any brand in any industry<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"padtop10\">Let AI assist you, not boss you around!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>AI is your assistant, not your replacement. Use it for efficiency, then add your human perspective for authenticity.
