{"id":504,"date":"2013-11-28T12:56:15","date_gmt":"2013-11-28T12:56:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.firetext.co.uk\/blog\/?p=504"},"modified":"2023-02-10T15:46:10","modified_gmt":"2023-02-10T15:46:10","slug":"firetext-recognised-for-inspiring-tomorrows-workforce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.firetext.co.uk\/blog\/firetext-recognised-for-inspiring-tomorrows-workforce\/","title":{"rendered":"FireText Recognised for Inspiring Tomorrow\u2019s Workforce"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We were really pleased last week to be recognised, by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cornwall.gov.uk\/education-and-learning\/education-business-partnership-ebp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cornwall Learning Education Business Partnership<\/a>, for our work with schools and young people by being presented with an award for \u201cInspiring Tomorrow\u2019s Workforce\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>FireText\u2019s Dan Parker received his certificate from the Chairman of the Cornwall Education Business Partnership Board, Keith Hambly-Staite, at the awards ceremony which took place last week. The event took place at the Eden Project with an audience of teachers from Cornish secondary schools who had gathered for their annual work experience conference.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCornwall Education Business Partnership (CEBP)\u201d is a part of Cornwall Learning, a department of Cornwall Council. Its core business is employer engagement with schools to inform young people about the world of work and future opportunities in the local economy\u201d said Keith Hambly-Staite.&nbsp; He continued:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe cannot do this work without the support of local businesses, and all the companies here today have been involved in wide range of activities,&nbsp; including workshops, visits, work experience, and careers events.&nbsp; We celebrate with these awards the important contribution made by small and large organisations\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dan was recognised for his work with schools in Pool and Penryn; by helping to develop the \u2018Digitally Sorted\u2019 project, attending Careers Speed-networking, STEM Careers Speed-networking and for taking part in live Skype links with schools. He says: \u201cCEBP are doing some fantastic work.
