Today SMS proves it has stood the test of time by celebrating its 21<sup>st<\/sup> birthday!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>On December 3<sup>rd <\/sup>1992, text engineer Neil Papworth sent the very first text message to his colleague Richard Jarvis.
