The Objective

  • To increase repeat business with previous customers in and out of Cornwall.

The Plan

Chris wanted to set up an auto response for all bookings made to improve communication with customers. The message confirmed details and sent reminders to customers, he was able to provide map details, hire information and even follow it up with a friendly message the next day.

He advertised their dedicated number on the website and all printed material to provide an additional way for customers to get in touch.

Chris had collected mobile numbers from all previous customers and wanted to get in touch to remind them of his services and encourage them to come back.

He created an exciting text message with a 10% discount offer on repeat bookings. The message was simple, friendly and clear and included a link to the website, contact details and an opt-out.

Chris was able to use the real-time reports in his FireText account to track when the messages had been delivered and if anyone had decided to opt-out.

The Message

The Results

Chris was pleased to see an instant response. In fact, he took a £300 booking 8 minutes after the text was sent – all for just £25.

On top of this, Chris had a whopping 98.8% retention rate of customers on his subscriber list after the text was sent, which must only mean one thing – his customers love receiving SMS offers from Harlyn Surf School!
