We love hearing your feedback and understand a lot of business are looking for the ability to send out their Bulk SMS campaigns in multiple smaller groups, so I’m super happy to announce that we have recently just launched our SMS throttling feature!
SMS throttling allows you to split your text campaign into multiple different SMS batches that can be sent out with time intervals between each one! This feature is super handy for a number of reasons, for example, it is a great way to control and regulate the timing that your messages are sent out.
You may send out an offer which requires a customer to call in to find out more information or book an appointment. By being able to send that bulk text campaign in multiple different batches, you will control the number of people calling in at one given time. So instead of sending a campaign out to 1000 people and potentially getting 100’s of calls within the first half an hour you could split your campaign into 5 separate groups sent an hour apart, this ensures the call volumes are manageable so your team can also continue to provide the best customer service.
Similarly, it’s also great if you simply have a large contact group that you are looking to send an SMS campaign out to, but the message requires a reply. Instead of sending it all at once and potentially receiving several replies in a short period of time, which could result in you accidentally missing one. You can take advantage of the SMS throttling feature to ensure it remains controlled.
Another great way this feature can be used is for A to B testing in your marketing campaigns. If you are unsure on the best time to target your SMS campaigns in order to receive the best response from your audience, you can use the throttling feature to test a number of different times in order to see which ones get the best response. By using our URL tracking feature you can track the success of your SMS marketing campaigns on the number of clicks. Alternatively, if you have a different call to action this can be used to monitor the outcome of each campaign. You will then be able to determine the best time to target your future campaigns, which will result in increased engagement.
